Extensive Listening

Listening Logs: The most common way for students to account for extensive listening would be in the form of a "captain's log" which would detail the daily/weekly listening practice and how students applied strategies during that practice. This reporting can be done on paper, on Canvas, or through recordings. Since extensive listening is meant to be student driven, teachers should be careful not to assess comprehension but instead encourage students to be self-regulated in their out-of-class extensive practice.
